If you delete an in-text citation, the cited item (i.e. table / figure / reference / endnote / reference) will not be affected. 

If you delete an item (i.e. table / figure / reference / endnote), all corresponding in-text citations will be removed as well. When an item is deleted, all following figures move up the numeric order. So do the corresponding in-text citations.  

* Note that if you have put the citation(s) in brackets, they will remain after the deletion. We suggest searching for "()" using the Ctrl+F function and erasing them.

If you replace an item (i.e. table / figure / reference / endnote), all in-text citations will be automatically linked to the new figure.
